The Quincy Wright Distinguished Scholar Award is given annually to a scholar who has significantly influenced scholarship in the ISA-Midwest region.  The honoree will have an exceptional record of scholarship in international studies, a distinguished record of service to the International Studies Association and other international affairs organizations, and, normally, a record of service within the region.

The Frank Klingberg Award is named for longtime and still active member of ISA-Midwest, Frank Klingberg of Southern Illinois University.  It is awarded for the best paper presented by a faculty member at the annual meeting of the ISA-Midwest.  Awards for papers presented at this year’s conference will be announced after the conference.

The Graduate Student Paper Award is given for the best paper by a graduate student.  Papers may be submitted for this award at the conference.  Awards for papers presented at this year’s conference will be announced after the conference and plaques will be presented to the winners at next year’s conference.

The Margaret G. Hermann Award is given for the best use of text analysis in leadership studies. The award will be made at the conference for a paper presented this year. Anyone presenting a paper using text analysis at the conference may submit it four weeks prior to the conference to compete for this new award, which carries a cash prize of $500. This award has been made possible by the generous support of Social Science Automation, Inc. Further details will be made available with the preliminary program.
